Before I fly off into my next project…I was not satisfied with the pictures of the acrylic paintings so I have tried to make better pictures and edits in this post.

The moon on the mummy painting actually glows in the dark. I put a coat a dragon glaze acrylic paint on top of glow-in-the-dark paint not knowing if it would still glow. It does! It was showing off last night. The background also has a dragon glaze which has a metallic sheen and color-shifting properties. It comes in a variety of color-shifting options.
The two tiny pumpkins above are acrylics on 2″ x2″ canvases. The backgrounds were experiments. The top one is acrylic paint, glitter glue, and a coat of gel medium. Then the pumpkin in acrylic paint with a dragon coat of glaze, which is probably not visible in the photo above. The background for the second pumpkin was a layer of regular acrylic paint, a layer of glitter glue, topped with a layer of the opal glitter acrylic paint. The pumpkin also has a dragon glaze on top of regular acrylic paint.

An “opal” acrylic paint that includes the glitter was applied on top of regular acrylic paint.
The idea behind all of these mini-experiments was to make different “starry-looking night skies” using just a few products.
The Happy Halloween image below has an awesome color shift in purple going on that is from the dragon glaze. The background is acrylic paint, glitter glue, acrylic opal/glitter paint, and topped with the dragon glaze. I hope the picture shows how stunning it is. The little ghosts are paper cutouts with a coat of shimmering dragon glaze and ink eyes and mouth. And the trinket embellishments.

The background is acrylic paint and the opal layer of acrylic paint. The moon has a version of dragon glaze. The cat and pumpkin are topped with another color choice of dragon glaze.
